Helping others build wealth through real estate! I bought my first rental property when I was 19 and it was one of the best decisions I ever made. After graduating from McMaster, I began my career working in investment banking. One day while sitting at my desk in downtown Toronto, I was approved for a new mortgage to refinance my first income property. The amount of equity I was able to take out was 150% of my salary and I decided then and there to make income properties my primary method of wealth creation. So, I “retired” from the rat race at 25 and have not looked back. While working at the bank, I attained my CFA designation, and in 2008 I decided to further enhance my understanding of real estate and development by attaining my MBA from the Schulich School of Business in real property development. Over the last 15 years, I have been able to grow my company into one of downtown London’s largest student housing providers. I have personally done over 50 deals. As my experience grew I began buying and renovating buildings, which led to building completely new rental properties. I grew up on an apple orchard and horse farm in the small town of Union, just south of St. Thomas. Five years ago my wife and I built our dream home on a property beside the farm I grew up on to raise our two kids.
